Life in the real world

Yes I do have one (although it's hooked up to intensive care machines at the moment), and the heartbeat has increased in recent days as I have bought a motorbike :bigshiteatinggrin:

It's a Kawasaki ZX6R, it's a bit gorgeous and a lot fast (although I don't know this from experience, of course). Rest assured there will be posy pictures of it in my gallery shortly.

On Friday I leave for Sri Lanka, and I probably won't have a chance to get online between now and then, so just wanted to say take care y'all.

For the next 3 weeks I'll be helping to build a resource center for kids in the shanty areas of Moratuwa, just south of the capital Colombo. We will also be taking in some of the sights while we're there, so hopefully I'll have hundreds of photos for you to enjoy on my return (I bet you can't wait! ).

It will be interesting to see if I have dA withdrawal while I'm away. I reckon it will be setting in within 72 hours, haha.

I have just got back from a martial arts seminar in London, and it was a bit bruising to say the least. I've been punched, kicked and thrown to the floor more times than I can count. It has to be said, it was good fun in spite of that.

No, I haven't been molested in a cupboard, I have just developed my first roll of black and white film. It's currently hanging up, drying.

At first glance, there are images there, which is something of a relief. When I first inverted the developing tank, developer was leaking from everywhere. I was thinking, "that shouldn't be happening, surely?"

Luckily enough, it hasn't screwed up too badly.

So, 6 things about me:

1 - I love animals. I have two snakes, a red cornsnake and a royal python. I'm not vegetarian but I'm on the animal rights side of things. I believe that animals should be treated as well as possible. I'm not too fond of insects, but my fear of spiders isn't as bad as it used to be. I want an alsatian, but can't devote the time at the moment, and I don't have enough space.

2 - I am straightedge and proud of it. I have been for nearly six years. As well as the usual no drugs/drinking/smoking, I avoid caffeine, just out of choice.

3 - I enjoy working out, and occassionally do some martial arts. People tend to think I'm harder than I actually am.

4 - I am going to Sri Lanka in July/August to help build a children's resource centre.

5 - I have a speeding conviction. I don't speed any more.

6 - I'm not a people person.
